I need a good foundation. Currently using Maybelline Pure Liquid Foundation?
I have combination skin, and I'm very pale, plus I've got some blemishes around my chin. I thought Maybelline Pure Liquid Foundation in Porcelain Ivory would work, but it doesn't blend in well and looks cakey. When I tried Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse it didn't cover my blemishes well, but evened out the rest of my face very well. I don't really want to go out and buy new foundation, so are there any tips on how to apply these products for more natural, even coverage?
What is a good foundation that will help to hide my blemishes? Also, what's a good moisturizer for acne-prone skin?

Be careful using proactive if you have sensitive skin, it will leave you red and blotchy!
I like to use Jane mineral foundation - it isn't sheer, but doesn't go on cake-y either.

I would recommend to use Proactive. The best Foundation thus far is Lancome ';Teint Idole.'; I would say to put on a think layer of foundation, then cover up over it. Don't make it too much though. Sometimes, people do too much of both and their face looks like a pancake. Also, the spots were you have blemishes, put a tad bit more and even it out. You have to play with makeup a little to see what works and what does not. Good luck!
Best drugstore liquid foundation is Revlon Color Stay for combo/oily skin. It's easy to blend. It's about $11. The makeup stays put longer than other foundation. I use sponge. It's easy and you can throw it away after 2~3 uses.
A good daytime lotion is Olay Complete for combo/oily skin. That's also around $11 and it'll last you a long time. It' light and feels great on your skin. Plus it has SPF 15!

hey, im 13 and i use the maybelline Pure Makeup oil-free 50% water foundation, and it apparently isnt bad for you skin. but lots of people on Yahoo! answers are saying it has charcoal and stuff in it!

Here is my rule of thumb: If the makeup ingredient list says that more than TEN ingredients were used in the powder...it is most likely NOT pure.
If the makeup was found at Wal-Mart or any other store, and is less than $10...than it is most likely NOT pure.

i wanna try something lightish so i was thinking about getting this. Please don't suggest any of the other mousse or liquid products because at the moment i'm trying to stick with powders.It would be helpful if you could include these in your review.

If you have acne, or even scarring, a powder will only cover up so much. I would definitely try out a matte finish foundation. Maybe shop around, you don't have to stick to Maybelline.Maybelline pure mineral powder reviews please?
The Maybelline pure mineral powder is pretty good for a drugstore product. You can get different type of results with different ways of using it. I suggest using it with a flat top brush so you get more coverage. It will cover your acne marks depending on how much you put on. Its really good to use this rather than other liquids and etc from drugstore because this wont clog pores and make you get more acne. As for how long it lasts its pretty good. You might need to touch it up after 5 hours or so because you might get a bit oily or the powder would fade away. Its great though I suggest it! Its really cheap and not bad for your skin.
My cousin would use liquid foundation on her face from drugstores and she would break out like crazy and I told her about this and ever since she used this she looked much natural and her acne started to fade away.
I had very bad acne, so bad I was on Accutane. During this time I tried several mineral make ups and Maybelline was by far the best drug store brand- much better than Bare Minerals, Avon, and Philip Pelusi. It gave excellent coverage and didn't look chalky. It stays on an entire work day- about 8-10 hours. It felt nice, too. The only problem was I had a hard time finding a color match. They don't offer many selections. With all of this being said, it's a good product and relatively inexpensive. However, my absolute favorite mineral powder was from Mary Kay, and I don't care for much of their stuff at all. It's a few dollars more than Maybelline plus you have to order it from a consultant (and they can be pushy at times), however it was definitely the best. I bought my best friend a jar of it just because I loved it so much and she swears by it, too.

I was wondering which powder/bronzer would work the best on my skin. My skin is oily/acne and pretty dark-skinned. I want a powder that will make my face not oily, not make me breakout, AND GIVE ME A NICE HEALTHY FLAWLESS GLOW! Which of these 4 would be the best for my skin??

mineral make-up is great, i used to wear loreals true match minerals but then i saw that maybeline had one that was alittle cheaper so i tried it. its really worth the money and that little pot lasts forever. it does reduce the ammount of spots you get as it doesnt clog the pores unlike most make-up. however, if you have dry skin it may not work for you. it can sometimes make dry skin look even dryer and a bit flakey. see if you can find sample pots (you can get these from alot of sites that ofer free samples) before you invest in a pot for yourself.
before applying, allow your moisturizer to dry and absorb before applying your make-up, this may take a few minutes. always use a non-mineral, oil-based moisturizer that will not clog pores. if your moisturizer does not absorb into your skin, neither will your mineral makeup. use a setting powder as a base all over if you have oily skin...it will help absorb the oil naturally. mineral make-up should be applied in light layers. if you feel you need more coverage, keep applying light layers.

all liquid make up is bad for you! there are so many chemicals and add-ins to it, there is no telling what youre putting on your face! lol, i know this is going to sound like im just trying to sell you something, but im not...i seriously think you should try bare minerals. it is the most amazing thing i have ever bought. i started using it a year and a half ago and i could never imagine putting anything else on my face. its so pure and so good for your skin, it will actually make it look better. not to mention i honestly have gotten better coverage from it than i have with anything else, and it doesnt even look like i'm wearing make up. i just think its so amazing, i try and get everyone i can to at least try it, because i dont think any woman should miss out on anything so great. just email me if you have any questions about it, i'll be more than happy to help =)

Nope, that happened to me too. Probably one of the ingredients has a bad reaction with certain skin types. Like someone else said, you could try Bare Minerals instead, because that's what I use, it's pretty good and doesn't make me break out or anything. If you go to Sephora, they will let you test it out. Clinique also has some good makeup for sensitive and breakout-prone skin. If you want something cheaper, try Neutrogena (their ';skin-clearing'; makeup line is good).

If you have a clean makeup sponge, get it moist (dip it in some water and wring it out) and then apply it to your face like your normally would. Moistening the sponge will make less of the foundation absorb into the sponge, so more of it will go on your face. Just make sure you blend blend blend it in. There's nothing worse than having foundation lines on your neck and chin.
I also think it's a good idea to apply makeup in natural light versus doing it in a bathroom. I used to do my makeup in my bathroom (which was yellow, yikes!) until I started noticing that once I got to work, I was very splotchy. I was even using the wrong color foundation! So it's good to do it somewhere that at least has partial natural light (ie a window).

I use Maybelline's Pure Makeup, cuz it's water based and it I don't think it aggravates my acne as much as some other foundations do. It's only a sheer coverage foundation though. It is a liquid foundation, so just apply a dime size (or smaller) amount to your index finger, apply to your skin and rub it in so it blends evenly. Make sure you've rubbed it in enough, other wise it could make your skin look orange-y or uneven in places. All in all, it's a nice foundation, and you can get it at Wal-Mart for like $5.
i use a cosmetic sponge (wedge) just make sure you throw it away afterwards ive heard some people use it twice, but no more casue it can harbor bacteria which u def dont want all over your face. dab it onto you face then in small circular motions spread in over your face
I use my fingers (slightly wet with water) or a foundation brush. Make sure you blend up into your hairline for the best look. This is my favourite foundation!

Commercial mainstream cosmetic companies try and scare you from wanting to use oils as they are EXPENSIVE and they cannot product the product for pennies on the dollar if they have to pay for real oils. Real oils are good for all skin types and oils like jojoba oil can actually help acne prone skin as it is the closest thing to the skins natural sebum. This makeup is far from PURE it is actually quite toxic and has fillers such as propelyne glycol that is an agent that is used in break fluid! Gross. If greasiness is your concern, you should either wear powder mineral make up or after applying liquid foundation, go over it with a loose powder to set it. The number one rule when wearing make up is that if you have an oily complexion, opt for powder. If you are dry, go with liquid. Dry and dry don't go together.

If you really want a liquid foundation from the drugstore, try Maybelline's new SuperStay Silky. It comes with a primer, which may help smooth out your skin texture. It is pretty good at controlling oil, and coverage is close to medium.
I agree with the comment about mineral makeup. It has made all the difference in my skin! If you are looking for an affordable brand, I love Lumiere Cosmetics, my experience with it has been great. (They are internet-order though, so you need a credit card or paypal). I would recommend their Veena Velvet line for your skin type.

I have it in Light 1, Porcelain Ivory. I like it because it provides light coverage, and can be layered. It contains water instead of oils, so it's good for oily and breakout-prone skin. It didn't break me out. It contains kaolin and silica to absorb oil. It also contains Vitamin E, wheat protein, chamomile, and aloe.
Everyone's skin is different. So if it breaks you out or irritates your skin, stop using it immediately. For six dollars, it's not a bad buy. As far as foundation and powder goes, I like Neutrogena, because it feels cleaner and fresher on my skin, compared to Maybelline, even their mineral formulas.
I do use Maybelline occasionally, but usually only their eye make-up since they tend to have a larger variety of eye pencil, eye shadow and mascara colors.
If your skin is more oily then go with the Neutrogena's Mineral Sheers. If your skin is more dry or normal then use the Maybelline's Pure Makeup.

Which foundation is better? Loreal Paris Feel Natural or Pure Makeup by Maybelline?
I've used both at different times and I can't decide which to buy. Pure makeup is 50% water, but Feel Natural has a vitamin complex that is good for your skin. Try Philosophy. They have excellent products for your face. There is a serum called ';On a Clear Day'; that makes pimples dissapear in 24-48 hours. I've used it several times and it works!
idk, but in England we have a brand called Witch, they do a medicated concealer and it is supposed to treat the pimples, i have actually used it a few times and i must say i thought i worked! You can actually smell the tea-tree in it aswell and it does cover them up great.

depends on your skin type but i have combination skin what has a few blemishes and occasional spots and i use ';Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse 16hr Foundation'; (availible from any drugstore) its really good at covering up without leaving bits and looking oily...it also has this really good ';cooling effect'; waht is really nice...

depends on your skin type but i have combination skin what has a few blemishes and occasional spots and i use ';Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse 16hr Foundation'; (availible from any drugstore) its really good at covering up without leaving bits and looking oily...it also has this really good ';cooling effect'; waht is really nice...

No way- too drying on a dry skin. It will look ok to start but then will cake and go all flakey and patchy. Have a look at chimare mineral makeup, its really light and is good for all skins- plus its organic as well which is a plus. they have about 4 types of foundation. No that's the good, as long as you're not putting too much of everything. You should have a light sheer coverage and it should feel like you don't have any make up on. what I like to do after I put on my foundation is to blot it with a tissue so wipe off all the excess and so that it wont be on my clothing later. i really like it, but i think makeup's really subjective, just because someone loves it doesn't mean you might. i mean i despise dream matte mousse, but others love it.
i find it blends really well, and stays on alot longer than my old foundation (i'd been using mac and benefit, 拢35.00 more expensive!). it covers well, and can be light to heavy coverage depending how much you put on. its matte but gives your skin a dewy look - if thats even possible!
the colours are weird, i got the lightest colour yet it wasn't exactly the white compared to my old foundation, yet when i put it on it was still pale and seemed to adjust to my skin colour.
i've had zero cakey-ness, and so far i love it.Is the new maybelline pure mineral liquid foundation any good?
Hi i got it a couple of weeks ago in the second lightest shade and I really like it :) I only wear foundation at the weekends when im going out but I found it worked really well, it definitely doesn't feel heavy but it has enough coverage to cover most blemishes I just pat on a bit of dream matte mousse concealer for the bigger ones. I agree with what they say about the hydration lasting hours because I have some really dry patches but it doesn't go all flakey it just blends and moisturises them really well. I have become a big fan of Maybelline in the last month or two after getting these two products and I love them so I'd definitely recommend getting it, hope this has helped! :D
If u don't have any spots or anything you want to cover up then this is a good foundation as it it light on your skin, but if you do have anything you want to cover then go for something thicker like rimmel long lasting foundation as maybelline doesn't give the best coverage for people with spots or anything like that x

get some product on the back of your hand and get a damp cosmetic sponge and once there is some product on the applicator apply it to your face blending it slowly but make sure you do it properly or else when you come back to it then it will look blotchy

i would just use the mineral powder because it will not make you break out it will acually help your face and if you want you can even sleep in it! The best thing to do is to wash your face thorougly and then put on mosturizer before then putting on powder. on holidays or whenever your not going out leave your skin alone since it wont react nicly with make-up. if you get spots or irritation put lemon on your face for 15 minutes everyday, wash it off and apply only moisturizer.
Apply a moisturizer first, then your foundation with either your fingers of a sponge, once you have even coverage, and remember to blend into your neck line!!! Then apply the powder for a flawless finish!

Neither of those.If you really want a natural look and a make up that is ACTUALLY good for your face and skin, then use Proactive make up. It goes on smooth and even and doesnt dry out your skin or appear caked on. It's a little pricey but completely worth it. But if you do get this foundation make sure to get the oil free moisture too. With those too products your make up will look flawless and your skin will be so much better off!

I would try a primer first ..the purpose of the primer is to even ur face out. i'm 21 but i have lil lines under my eyes...always have..an i was searching around the net %26amp; came across the monistat chafing gel powder.its like 6 bucks %26amp; when i use it i dont have those lines anymore..but its hard to find that stuff bc so many girls are starting to use it as primer. moisturize really well too. all i use is powder foundation bc i suck at blending the liquid. concealer will jus gunk in ur lines an make them stand out more. sorry if i didnt answer ur question but i hope i helped atleast a bit.virus

It's too late if you are an honest person. Who wants to use mascara that you used already? Would you want to buy mascara that someone else used? Some people have eye conditions - not saying that you do but who would know?

A reputable store would listen to a customer's concerns and they wouldn't put it back on the shelf to sell to someone else people. They would eat their loss because they would want to understand that the customer made a simple mistake. Do you people REALLY think they would put it back on the shelf? Honestly. Go back to the store and explain and I'm sure they'd take it back.
I would personally keep it. Its probably a hint of blue because I've never seen maybelline sell just plain blue mascara. It will be a neat change for once. Just work with it. You will probably like it.

Oh I LOVE this mascara! After seeing a few of the girls on youtube do reviews on it I just had to run out and get it. I'm in love with it! It adds tons volume to your lashes without clumping and a little bit of length.
If you want more length I'd suggest using a mascara primer before you use the Colossal Mascara

NO! its horrible it makes certain parts of my face really shiny and iv had a spot break out.the colours are very orangy too. i would recomend max factor liquid illusion its really nice :) but am lookin for a new foundation myself.
My friend uses this and it is amazing it lasts all day and i am definitely going to buy it as i am using dream matte mousse which is really good to. Satin liquid is also easy to apply my friend uses a sponge !

Oh I adore the bourjois one - best blush I've ever used! I got mine from boots, and it came with a cute little brush, and a mirror on the inside of the lid. They do come with a brush. However, if you are worried, buy the blush and once you get outside the shop check if the brush is there. It should be, but if it isn't then you can easily get an exchange. I love the rose d'or 34 shade. It has great undertones to it, so looks even more amazing! The blush has great staying powder - I'm sure longer than maybelline!

i have both and prefer the bourjois, as there is more colour payoff (u dont have to use as much for a nice colour) and it stays on longer than the mousse, also the mousse tends to make pores more noticeable x
I mostly end up beginning on sale and trying out a few different ones. Do what seems right and I bet your instinct will be best.

I've heard also some people saying theirs didn't come with a brush - even though they're supposed to...
Or should I stick with my Maybelline mousse one? The reason I want to change is because I want something longer lasting.

Oh I adore the bourjois one - best blush I've ever used! I got mine from boots, and it came with a cute little brush, and a mirror on the inside of the lid. They do come with a brush. However, if you are worried, buy the blush and once you get outside the shop check if the brush is there. It should be, but if it isn't then you can easily get an exchange.
