I've tried both of them and I liked the Mineral Power one BUT in powder form. The liquid one was way too oily for my skin and since I live in the desert it always felt like it was melting off. The powder form was really good, it covered some acne scars well and gave me a nice glow.

The Dream Matte Mousse was HORRIBLE! I tried it and I always looked chalky and pale. I wouldn't recommend it.Should i buy dream matte mouse or maybelline mineral power foundation?
Dream Matte Mousse is the best foundation I've ever used, and I've pretty much tried them all, including the pricier department store brands (many of which are highly overrated). Dream Matte provides excellent coverage (I'm oily in the T-zone) and looks very natural. The secret to keeping your foundation in place is to set it with powder, either loose or pressed. That said, it all depends on your skin...everyone is different. If you are concerned about dry patches or flakiness on your skin, I would suggest using a good exfoliator (St. Ives Apricot Scrub is excellent, about $4 at the drugstore), or an anti-acne mask (like Proactiv's version) followed up by a light moisturizer. I can relate to the flakiness issue as well, and this has worked wonders for me.

Also, drinking lots of water will help hydrate your skin and give you a nice glow. Primers are good...sometimes...I find that they often make my skin slick and cause the foundation to slide off. Really, it's about trial and error, finding your own technique and the combination of products that work for you. Bare Minerals is about $30 for a starter kit, and lasts a long time. A good investment, easy to apply, and looks natural. Also, it's oil absorbing and helps us girls with the T-zone concern.

Hope this helps! :)
I have to agree with the first girl that answered. the first time I applied Dream Matte Mousse, I loved it! It was so light and airy, and it took very little to cover my face. Then, within like an hour, it had all almost worn off, leaving my face looking splotchy and uneven. I am currently using Mineral Power powder foundation, and I adore it! I have recommended it to several other people on here. It goes on smooth, doesn't take very much to get coverage, and its lasts! It will require the necessary touch ups here and there, but that's to be expected with all make up. Definitely try Mineral Power, and if you like it, try L'Oreal Bare Minerals as well.
I had a bad experience with dream matte mousse.. I hated it! Not only does it dry out really fast on your face, it seems like it doesn't last very long. It feels like you are putting frosting all over your face! Gross.. Just get regular foundation, use a dime size amount and rub that into your face and then use the mineral powder foundation! It works awesome!

I'm thinking the matte would work better if you have acne. Make sure if you buy the maybelline that the store will take it back if you are not satisfied.
If your skin is oily/acne prone, I recommend maybelline mineral power foundation.
I LOVE dream matte mouse. It's really really light and good and stays on for a long time.
